BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION 2024
We are pleased to announce that Waddesdon has achieved Runner Up in this year’s competition, narrowly missing the top spot by just one point!
A special thank you to everyone involved in maintaining the beauty and charm of Waddesdon. Your hard work and dedication have been recognised with the prestigious Dashwood Trophy for best Runner Up.
The trophy will be presented at the parish council meeting on 16th October.
We have once again entered the Bucks Best Kept Village Competition and are looking for volunteers to help with jobs around the village such as litter picking, sign cleaning, reporting issues etc.
Judging takes place between 1st June and 14th July. This is quite a wide window to ensure the village is looking it’s best so any help you can give would be most appreciated.
We are working with Waddesdon Wombles and support their monthly litter picks. The next meeting is on Sunday 21st April 10.30am at the Park, School Lane.
Over the last year we have had weekly visits from the Community Payback Team who have helped with grass cutting, weeding, litter picking and general tidying of the village.
Thanks to the Craft Club as they continue to create seasonal post box toppers for the enjoyment of passers-by.
